BANDUNG (February 20, 2021) – Director General of Poverty Handling (PFM) , Asep Sasa Purnama held a discussion with PT Pos Indonesia regarding the plan to update the family beneficiaries (KPM) data. The Director General of PFM said that the accuracy of KPM data was important for social assistance programs. "Accuracy of data on beneficiary families (KPM) is important so that program implementation can run as expected," said the Director General of PFM.

The Director General of PFM also conveyed a message from the Minister of Social Affairs and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) that future social assistance data must use the Population Identification Number (NIK) for each KPM. "In the future, it is mandatory to use the NIK, there should no longer be any social assistance that does not use the NIK and must be registered at the
Population and Civil Registration Office," said Asep during a discussion at the Bandung Post Office (20/2).

Furthermore, the Director General of PFM explained that the target in February is that the data will be more orderly by continuing to consolidate data. "The target (data) is to be orderly, the minister wants that during February the consolidation will continue to achieve that," explained Asep.

In addition to conducting discussions, the visit was also carried out to review the progress of the distribution of Cash Social Assistance (BST) and the planned location of the pilot project for the KUBE Warung for the Poor. Information was obtained that the number of BST recipients in the city of Bandung was 55,135 KPM with the progress of the realization of BST distribution in the city of Bandung in the first stage in January 2021 reaching 99.48%. As for the second phase in February, as of February 20, 2021, it has reached 51.30%.
