BEKASI (November 25, 2020) - The Director General of Poverty Handling (PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama stated that the distribution of Social Assistance as social protection and at the same time can help the National Economic Recovery (PEN).

The statement from the Director General of PFM was delivered in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity on the Distribution of Social Assistance PFM Region I throughout the Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Aceh Provinces (Wednesday, 25/11).

The Director General of PFM also said that the target for the end of December 2020 for the realization of social assistance distribution is estimated to reach 99.2%.

Currently, the realization of social assistance distribution is 93.14%. This is inseparable from regional assistance in providing data. "This realization is impossible for us to achieve if we don't do it together," explained the Director General of PFM.

For 2021, the Director General of PFM reminded districts/cities to update the data needed for the distribution of Social Assistance. According to the Director General of PFM, at the beginning of the Cash Social Assistance from 514 districts/cities only half were active to keep updating the data, even though our program was running based on these data. "For 2021, regions are expected to be more active in updating their data," explained the Director General of PFM.

The Director General of PFM reminded that districts/cities can mobilize Community Social Workers and youth organizations to assist in data collection at the sub-district level so that the data produced is even better.
