Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation Holds Preparatory Meeting for the Handling of Quarantine Places for Indonesian Workers (TKI)
JAKARTA (March 27th 2020) - Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat chaired the Preparatory Meeting for the Handling of COVID-19 Quarantine with the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation and the Director of Social Rehabilitation for the Social Tuna and Human Trafficking Victims (RTSKPO) together with the ranks within the Directorate of RTS KPO. The meeting, which was held by teleconference, is the readiness of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation if there is an increase in the number of migrant workers or Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) who are returned to Indonesia.
According to Harry, the Minister of Social Affairs has coordinated with several parties and assigned the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation to contribute more to anticipating the arrival of migrant workers to Indonesia, basically the Ministry of Social Affairs is ready.
The Ministry of Social Affairs, through the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, is preparing several places for quarantine for COVID-19 and an inventory of facilities is being carried out as well as a fixed mechanism or protocol from the arrival of workers to their return to their families. "Of course, this SOP is in accordance with the existing protocol for handling COVID-19. Do not let our shelters become a source of dissemination, so that preparations need to be made according to protocol." Harry concluded.
