WAJO REGENCY (March 29, 2022) - In commemoration of the 623rd Wajo Anniversary (HJW), the Wajo Regency Government received assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs, which was symbolically handed over by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, Robben Rico, to the Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman at the Wajo Regency DPRD Office, South Sulawesi, Tuesday (29/3).

The assistance provided was in the form of Aid for Natural Disaster Management in Wajo Regency in the amount of IDR456,057,700, Compensation for the Heirs of the Victims of Death in the Flood Disaster in Wajo Regency worth IDR15,000,000, and the Delivery of Additional PBI-APBN Assistance in the amount of IDR1,269,912. 000,-.

Wajo Regent, Amran Mahmud, appreciated the Ministry of Social Affairs for bringing aid to coincide with the 623rd Wajo Anniversary. "Usually aid comes during a disaster. Currently, the assistance that is brought directly is a disaster preparation aid because Wajo is a disaster-prone area, especially floods. Thank you again for the assistance provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Amran Mahmud.
