BEKASI (24 November 2019) - Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, Edi Suharto gave directions and at the same time officially opened the Evaluation of the Implementation of the Social Rehabilitation Program for the Elderly in the Central Work Unit, Deconcentration and Technical Implementation Unit for 2019 at the Aston Imperial Hotel, Bekasi.

Through this activity, it is hoped that obstacles in program implementation and resources can be identified so that it can produce recommendations for improving services to the elderly through social rehabilitation programs implemented by the Central, Provincial Social Services, and Balai / Loka.

On this occasion, Edi Suharto said, "It is important for every individual and institution to always prioritize the principle of the fittess, namely the ability to stay fit so that they are able to adapt and develop according to change."

This analogy is used to motivate the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Elderly to be ready to meet and adapt to changes, be able to overcome increasingly complex issues / problems and be able to innovate to maintain their existence.

Edi Suharto also emphasized the importance of the commitment between the Central Government and the Regional Government to continue to work together to build a social rehabilitation system in accordance with the mandate of the Law regarding the division of tasks / functions of the government.

The activity which was held on 24-27 November 2019 was attended by 93 participants who were representatives of the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Elderly, including from the Ministry of Social Affairs Rehabilitation Center / Workshop, and regional participants.
