JAKARTA
(April 23th 2020) - The Directorate of Social Rehabilitation of Children
through the Bambu Apus Jakarta Social Rehabilitation Service Unit for Children
with Disabilities (ULRS APD) has distributed children's food assistance to
families with children with disabilities.
Food
assistance was provided to 35 beneficiaries of ULRS APD, in the form of
groceries and children's food, which consisted of: 5 kg of rice, 1 liter of
milk, 1 liter of fruit juice, 150g of honey, 2 sardines, 1 kg of salt and
sugar, 2 liter of cooking oil, tea bags, biscuits, rice flour, soy sauce and 1
kg eggs.
In
the COVID-19 pandemic situation, it is hoped that the provision of food
assistance can support the ability of families to meet the needs of nutritional
intake, vitamins and nutrition for children with disabilities, so that quality
intake needs can be met, and children's development continues to increase
towards healthy and independent children.
The
Social Rehabilitation Service Unit for Children with Disabilities (ULRS APD) is
a social rehabilitation service for children with disabilities that provides
therapy and psychosocial assistance services for families and children with all
types of disabilities.
Adjusting
to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, therapy and psychosocial assistance for PPE
is carried out through remote services.
