BOALEMO (March 4th 2020) - The Director General of Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM), Andi ZA Dulung conveyed the plan of the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara, to put up a poor welfare sticker for Beneficiary Families (KPM). This he conveyed during the distribution of the Basic Food Program in Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province.

The Director General of PFM explained that this sticker installation is expected to show the KPM house so that the surrounding community will know that the family is a recipient of social assistance. "The plan (sticker installation) will be given by the Ministry of Social Affairs to label the house of each Beneficiary Family so that it can be assessed for their eligibility to receive Bansos (social assistance) by the surrounding community," said the Director General of PFM.

Continuing with this, the Director General of PFM said that by giving stickers to KPM residences, hopefully that it can improve poverty data so that data between the central and regional governments becomes more appropriate. "The labeling which is carried out by providing stickers at each KPM residence can also be used as a synchronization in improving poverty data between the central and regional governments," continued the Director General of PFM.

In addition to installing stickers on the KPM's residence, there is also a plan to put up a list of beneficiary names in the kelurahan so that the surrounding community can see it. "The list of recipient names will be posted in the Kelurahan so that it can be seen by all people, to democratically see who has the right to receive benefits and which should be excluded from the data," added the Director General of PFM.

Broadly speaking, the main purpose of placing stickers on KPM residences and installing lists of beneficiaries in the kelurahan is to improve data so that the number of KPM according to the quota of social assistance is met. In addition, the purpose is that KPMs who are not entitled to receive social assistance are replaced with KPMs who are more entitled. This is expected to make social assistance programs more targeted. "There is indeed a problem about some outside (KPM data) and some inside (beneficiary data). Data (KPM) that is already prosperous is still the problem," explained the Director General of PFM

Apart from the Director General of PFM, the Regent of Boalemo, Darwis also gave his remarks at the distribution of the basic needs program. In his remarks, the Regent of Boalemo appreciated the cooperation between the central government and local governments. "The realization of this basic food program is a follow-up to central and regional government policies, especially for poverty alleviation programs," said the Regent of Boalemo.

In this regard, the Regent who implements the 2020 Basic Food program by referring to the guidelines for this program hopes that there will be no mistakes in its implementation.
