Head of BP3S: ABH's Assistant Must Have a Caring Spirit

BANJARBARU (March 7, 2020) - Head of the Ministry of Social Research and Social Education (BP3S) Ministry of Social Affairs (Ministry of Social Affairs) Prof. Syahabuddin delivered directions at the Social Welfare Education and Training Center for children facing law (ABH) and Management Training for social welfare development, which was organized by BBPPKS Banjarmasin.

On that occasion Prof. Syahabuddin expressed his hope that the Social Education and Counseling Education Board should become an Intellectual Factory of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Because, according to him BP3S is able to play an important role in terms of human resource development in the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"BP3S has various centers, such as training centers, development centers, we make these intellectual factories," said Prof. Syahabuddin when giving his direction in front of the training participants who attended. Saturday (3/7/2020)

In line with what was conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture (Nadiem Makariem) that currently in formal education both basic and higher education is by "learning independent", and "independent campus".

According to the Head of BP3S Center for Education and Training as the organizer of HR training in order to prepare a pretest not only aspects of knowledge related to training materials but also to see his motivation, expectations and mindset of participants who will be educated.

"The connection is with the Ministry of Social Affairs in organizing Diklat under BP3S Iini, despite the nature of the shot course. Then it should be able to adopt what is expected by the Minister of Education and Culture ". Said the Head of BP3S

This means that 30% of training material is based on literacy and 70% of material is obtained from exploring existing knowledge within oneself, it can come from experience or empirical knowledge.

"That is the most basic thing that every education and training organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs for assistants for people with social problems". He added

Therefore, continued the Head of BP3S, it must be realized that before you are educated you must have a inner calling to help and have a high human spirit.

On the same occasion, the Head of BBPPKS Banjarmasin, R Rasman, asked participants to take advantage of the opportunity with the issuance of law number 14 of 2019 concerning social workers. In order to participate in the certification of social workers to support ABH assistants during the trial process.

Child Counseling Training dealing with law (PABH) is held from 3-27 March 2020, while for Social Workers Management Training (MPKS) is held from 3 - 12 March at Campus II BBPPKS Banjarmasin South Kalimantan.
