Improve the Quality of Life of PPKS PDI through Family Support
BOGOR (December 23rd 2019) - The Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities, the Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by the Head of Sub-Directorate for RSPD Intellectual Sumiatun, opened and gave directions at the 2019 Semester II Parents Meeting (POT) in the BRSPDI Hall "Ciungwanara" Bogor accompanied by the Head of The Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (BRSPDI) "Ciungwanara" Bogor Esa Sumantri.
"I express my appreciation for holding this meeting as an effort to strengthen parents and families in social rehabilitation, to build synergy between the government and society and as a form of our collective responsibility in fulfilling the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities," said Sumiatun.
This event also presented a resource person from the Lecturer of the Bandung Social Welfare Polytechnic (Poltekesos) Ellya Susilowati with the theme "Strengthening Parents in Improving the Competence of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities". In addition, the PDI Social Welfare Service Recipient (PPKS) also enlivened this event by performing their talents through dancing and singing.
