Jakarta (13 August 2023) - A long history of Indonesia to achieve an Independence was not easy, there are so many historical stories involving various heroes people inside it. 

In order to introduce the figure of national hero Laksamana Keumalahayati, Gema Citra Nusantara (GCN) collaborates with various agencies, one of which is the Ministry of Social Affairs. GCN held a musical theatre performance "Keumalahayati: Laskar Inong Balee" and an exhibition of National Hero Paintings at the Big Theatre Building Taman Ismail Marzuki in Jakarta. The exhibition was held for 2 (two) days on August 12 to 13, 2023.

The 15 national heroes paintings such as KH. Agus Salim, Dr. Sahardjo, SH, Dr. Johannes Leimena, Jend. TNI. Keh. GPH. Djatikusumo, Martha Christina Tijahahu, Laksamana Keumalahayati, H. Rasuna Said, Ruhana Kuddus, Ruhana Kuddus, Maria Walanda Maramis, Ibu Agung Hajjah Andi Depu, Cut Nyak Dhien, Ismail Marzuki, R.E. Martadinata, Jos Sudarso, I Gusti Ngurah Made Agung.

Musical Theatre “Keumalahayati: Laskar Inong Balee” becomes the main agenda succeed in attracting thousands of visitors' eyes, theatrical story describes the history of the struggle of Keumalahayati, a brave woman with full respect and courage.

In her long history, Keumalahayati formed and led the Inong Balee troops from the widows of Acehnese soldiers whose husbands died in the war, and Keumalahayati was appointed admiral, the first Acehnese woman to hold the rank of the first sea admiral in the world.

This performance features various elements of art such as drama, sound, and dance, especially those from Aceh.
