IPWL Becomes Implementing Partner for Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Drug Abuse

BANJARMASIN (December 19th 2019) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara attended and inaugurated the Report Obligatory Recipient Institute (IPWL) Building in Intan Banua, Banjarmasin. This IPWL was made for the implementation of the Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Drug Abuse.

The Minister of Social Affairs said that currently drug abusers are elementary, junior high school, senior high school and even in university level. "Especially residents of South Kalimantan province who have tried drugs, take advantage of this institution," said Juliari P. Batubara.

Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Idit Supriadi Priatna representing the Director General of Social Rehabilitation in his report said that, to date, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has had five Social Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Drug Abuse and as many as 189 IPWLs in partnership with the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.

This activity was attended by the Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan, Echelon I and II Officials of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia as well as IPWL administrators and the surrounding community.
