SOUTH TANGERANG (April 21st 2020) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara conducted a review of the submission of a Prosperous Family Card (KKS) for Beneficiary Families (KPM) in South Tangerang City. The review was carried out by the Minister of Social Affairs in Sawah Village, Ciputat District, South Tangerang City, Banten Province while still paying attention to physical distancing. This was done in order to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) by always wearing a mask and paying attention to the distance between each person more than 1 meter.

In his direction, the Minister of Social Affairs said that currently the recipients of the Basic Food Program, which previously numbered 15.2 million KPM, had an expansion of 4.8 million KPM, so that currently the KPM of the Basic Food Program becomes 20 million KPM. "Previously the number of recipients of the Basic Food Program was 15.2 million KPM, now it is 20 million KPM," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

The Minister of Social Affairs also said that the addition of 4.8 million KPM was an extension of the Basic Food Program in 2020. "The addition of 4.8 million KPM is an expansion of the Basic Food Program which was formerly known as Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)," explained the Minister of Social Affairs.

On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs was present accompanied by the Mayor of South Tangerang, Airin Rachmi Diany, Secretary of the Directorate General (Sesditjen) for Poverty Handling (PFM), Nurul Farijati, Director of PFM Region II, I Wayan Wirawan, Head of South Tangerang Social Services Agency, Wahyunoto Lukman, as well as representatives from Bank BNI.

On the same occasion, Directorate General PFM said that KPM for the expansion of the basic food program will receive assistance of IDR 200,000 each month until December 2020. "For this Basic Food Program, KPM expansion will be given monthly assistance of IDR 200,000 until December 2020," explained Directorate General PFM.

Initially, KPM in the city of South Tangerang was 13,284 KPM. With the expansion of KPM to 5,965 KPM, currently the KPM in South Tangerang City is 19,249 where specifically for KPM in Ciputat District there are 198 KPM.
