Minister of Social Affairs: Social Solidarity Values of the Unifying Element of the Nation
BANJARMASIN (December 19th 2019) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara attended the peak event of the Month of Service for Social Solidarity (BBKS) which was held in Siring kilometer 0, Banjarmasin. This activity is one of a series of activities for the 2019 National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN).
Juliari P. Batubara stated that the values of social solidarity are one of the unifying elements of a nation. The series of 2019 HKSN commemorations, whose agenda is expected to be one of the solutions to the problems currently being faced, so that the theme "Social Solidarity Breaks Boundaries" is a real step, its influence and benefits are felt by the community.
"On this auspicious occasion I would like to thank all the attention, contributions from volunteers, donors, social solidarity partners who have sincerely cared for and shared for our brothers and sisters in need," said Juliari P. Batubara.
On this occasion, it was also filled with an agenda of social service with the distribution of aid items (basic necessities for school supplies, religious supplies, medical aids/disabilities), award giving, and the inauguration of monumental development. Activities carried out in an integrated manner among elements of government, society and the business world within the same framework according to local conditions.
The event was attended by Echelon I and II officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs. In addition, there were also the Governor of South Kalimantan, the Mayor of Banjarmasin, and related officials. Various assistance was distributed, including disability tools, reading glasses, public toilets, and so on. The assistance channeled by the Ministry of Social Affairs is worth Rp. 94,638,600,000.
