JAKARTA (May 1st, 2020) – Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat, in collaboration with the DKI Provincial Social Service and the Central Jakarta Social Service Agency to check the readiness of the temporary shelter (TPS) at the Tanah Abang Sports Hall, Central Jakarta.

On this occasion, Harry Hikmat distributed medical equipment aid packages to prevent the spread of COVID-19 for officers in the Central Jakarta area as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The aid package contains 30 liters of disinfectant, 1 unit disinfectant sprayer, 500 bottles (@250 ml), 40 boxes of hand wash (@2000 pcs), masks, 500 bottles (@500 ml) of hand sanitizers, 50 bottles (60 ml) of hand sanitizers, 50 boxes (@2,500 pairs) of gloves.

“Officers must wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) in carrying out their duties during the Assessment to the Social Welfare Services Recipient (PPKS),” said Harry. PPE is intended for State Civil Apparatus (ASN), Non-Civil Servant Government Employees (PPNPN), and assistants in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation.

Based on the results of the data collection by the Social Worker Service Unit (Sakti Peksos), there are 37 Beneficiaries (PM) at the Tanah Abang Sports Hall as of May 1st, 2020. Data based on job types consisted of junk sellers, layoffs, unemployed, merchants, farmers, street singers, parking officers, garden decorators, construction workers, employees, and the Social Welfare Services Recipient (PPKS). From 37 PMs, 4 PMs have been returned to their families. The remaining 33 PMs are still in TPS service.

Tanah Abang Sports Hall, Central Jakarta, will provide two social services, namely basic services (fulfillment of basic needs) and social rehabilitation.
