Ministry of Social Affairs Holds Preparedness and Provides Facilities to Anticipate the Impact of La Nina in DKI Jakarta
JAKARTA (30 December 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs is still working to improve preparedness to anticipate the potential for natural disasters due to flooding due to the La Nina phenomenon in DKI Jakarta Province.
As a form of preparedness, today (30/12), together with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service and Youth Disaster Preparedness (Tagana) personnel, the Ministry of Social Affairs held a preparedness rally and handed over a number of logistical assistance for natural disasters in Cipayung, East Jakarta. The assistance was handed over by the Director of PSKBA, M. Safii Nasution and received directly by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Kadinsos, Irmansyah.
The assistance was in the form of 30 units of red and white family multipurpose tents, 200 roll tents, 3 units of evacuation boats, 300 packages of family kitchen equipment, 200 packages of kids ware, 1,200 packages of children's food, and 600 packages of ready-to-eat food supplied from the Central Logistics Warehouse of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Bekasi.
