More Cafe of "Wyata Guna" Becomes PPKS Women's Empowerment Laboratory
BANDUNG (December 18th 2019) - The milestone for the Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Sensory Disabilities Netra (BRSPDSN) "Wyata Guna" Bandung is the inauguration of Cafe More Wyata Guna as a laboratory and work distribution for the Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS) for the Barista program BRSPDSN "Wyata Guna” Bandung.
By holding the philosophy of "A Cup of Coffee You Drink Creates Jobs for People with Disabilities" has become the spirit for the four selected graduates of the Barista Program BRSPDSN "Wyata Guna" Bandung in 2019, who are already certified as professional baristas. They are ready to provide the best service for coffee connoisseurs, apart from being supported by the best coffee machines in their class, contemporary interior design and music that add to the comfortable atmosphere and the right choice for gathering for anyone.
The birth of this Professional Barista cannot be separated from the collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs and the Siloam Center for The Blind of Korea, which has paid attention to people with visual disabilities in Indonesia, especially in BRSPDSN "Wyata Guna" Bandung, this is a success story of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation's social rehabilitation program. The inauguration of Cafe More Wyata Guna was attended by the Secretary General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Idit Supriadi Priatna, Head of BRSPDSN "Wyata Guna" Bandung, Sudarsono, Secretary General of the Siloam Center for the Blind, Mr. Dong Ic Choi and his staff, PPKS Barista program in 2019, and the BRSPDSN "Wyata Guna" Bandung - Siloam Center for the Blind collaboration team through Barista Training in the Empowerment Project for Women with Disabilities.
Sudarsono is happy with the inauguration of Cafe More Wyata Guna, where the coffee and café business is currently kicking off the business world in Indonesia, people have made coffee a lifestyle, and cafes are a supporting place for that.
In his speech Mr. Dong Ic Choi stated that this collaboration lasted for 3 years and each year a Café would be built as an effort to empower women with visual disabilities.
