LUMAJANG (March 13, 2022) - In the midst of an emergency transition process towards recovery after the eruption of Mount Semeru in Penanggal Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency since the disaster occurred in early December 2021, the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, applied a post-disaster management pattern based on empowerment of survivors.

Through the application of this pattern, the survivors are given productive activities, ranging from making woven bamboo products, doormats from scraps of cloth, to carving and calligraphy. The works that contain elements of art are expected to have a high selling value so that, when traded, these works can help restore their economic condition.
