SLEMAN (25 November 2020) - Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims (PSKBA) of the Ministry of Social Affairs, M. Safii Nasution, ensures evacuation points and evacuation routes in the event of a large explosion of Mount Merapi, as well as ensuring food needs for evacuees of vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabilities and children were fulfilled when visiting 2 Merapi Evacuation Posts in Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency and Selo District, Boyolali Regency, Tuesday (24/11).

Safii said the Ministry of Social Affairs has provided assistance of 500 million rupiah to meet the needs of evacuees. The assistance includes 10 COVID-19 refugee tents along with booths to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs has also alerted 369 Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana). From this data, 69 people have served in refugee camps to help fulfill the basic needs of evacuees.
