BOGOR (13 May 2020) - The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo monitors the distribution of Cash Social Assistance to beneficiary families (KPM) affected by COVID-19 at the Bogor City Post Office on Wednesday morning (13/5). During his visit, the President of the Republic of Indonesia was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P Batubara, President Director of PT POS Indonesia, Gilarsi Wahyu Setijono and Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya Sugiarto.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia conveyed that the distribution of this assistance had followed protocol procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. "Keep the distance between KPM and queues that are not crowded so that activities can run well," said the President.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P Batubara hoped that before this Eid, the recipients of assistance had received it twice, so that after Eid al-Fitr there was still one time to take the assistance. "Of course this cannot be evenly distributed, it also depends on the level of difficulty of each respective region," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

He also asked the local government that the recipients who were deemed to need assistance but were not included in the first stage, to be included in the second stage later. "We hope that in the second stage, overlapping data can be reduced by good coordination," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

In the city of Bogor itself, the Mayor has provided an application called SALUR to be able to check the NIK, including the progress of absorption of the aid scheme. “If residents do not enter their data there (SALUR) residents can apply, so they can enter the next stage. This data will continue to be cleaned, to avoid double assistance," said the Mayor of Bogor.

Furthermore, the Mayor of Bogor said, there were 159,162 registered family heads who received assistance based on the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and Non-DTKS in Bogor City. For the Non-DTKS quota there are as many as 23,000 families, the rest comes from Central and West Java.

Cash Social Assistance is given as much as Rp600.000 for three months, starting from April to June 2020 to KPM whose data is entered into the DTKS of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

For Cash Social Assistance recipients in Bogor City, there were 31,251 KPM, all of which were distributed through PT. Indonesian post.
