BANDUNG (February 21, 2020)
- In accordance with the mandate of Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with
Disabilities which requires the state to provide a minimum of 2 percent quota
in the process of receiving Prospective Civil Servants (CPNS). Therefore, the Indonesian
Ministry of Social Affairs (Social Ministry) as the proponent of this Act needs
to prepare various policies to fulfill the mandate of this Act which is also
wrongly provided by the Social Welfare Training Center (Kesos)
The Social Welfare Training
Center is a work unit under the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of
Indonesia, which is one of the functions of organizing basic training (Latsar)
for CPNS.
The Social Welfare Training
Center sees the mandate of the Act which requires a minimum of 2 percent quota
for CPNS
"Social Welfare
Education and Training Center must be prepared to be the leading learning
center in fulfilling the rights of trainees, one of them is through the
provision of teaching materials for Disability Participants in the form of
Modules, Reading Materials, and Teaching Aids" The Head of Social Welfare

Following up on these
directives, on Friday, February 21, 2020, the Social Welfare Training Center
coordinated with Abiyoso Braille Indonesian Literacy Center related to
cooperation to improve (transfer letters) the Latsar CPNS module Gol II and Gol
III for the Net Disability
On this occasion, the
Education and Training Center was represented by the Head of Training Apparatus
- Mr Dwi Dharmawan, Head of Cooperation and Development of Training and
Training - Haryanto, Coordinator of Widyaiswara - Trinanto and Several
Widyaiswara Supporting Latsar CPN materials.
This coordination meeting
resulted in an agreement that the Education and Training Center and the BLBI
would work together to continue to provide training modules, reading material,
and training tools for people with disabilities. And as a first step, the
provision of teaching materials for Latsar CPNS Gol II and Gol III for persons
with disabilities. As well as BLBI's commitment in providing a budget to make
improvements (over letters) from conventional modules to braille modules.
