JAKARTA (26 November 2019) - Located in the Hall of Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Hearing and Speaking Sensory Disabilities (BRSPDSRW) "Melati" Jakarta, an Entrepreneurship Workshop for Beneficiaries of BRSPDSRW "Melati" Jakarta with the theme "Success as a Barista in Entrepreneurship of Coffee." A total of 50 beneficiaries participated in this activity.

Head of BRSPDSRW "Melati" Jakarta, Pujiyanto, urged the beneficiaries to be able to absorb the valuable knowledge and experience conveyed by the speakers, namely how to become a reliable barista.

"It is hoped that the beneficiaries will have new insights to start independent business alternatives, one of which is by starting a coffee business," said Pujiyanto.

In this workshop, the beneficiaries will not only get theories from the speakers, but will also directly practice how to become a barista.

Being the first resource person, Dedi Endang Suganda from Kang Kopi explained that if someone wants to get money then start to create an interesting business. Dedi invited the workshop participants to be able to think outside the box, innovate, looking for new brilliant ideas to start a business and compete in a healthy manner.

"To be a smart entrepreneur, one must be able to understand all the actions that will be taken, take risks, work sincerely, be disciplined and have the courage to learn from every failure," said Dedi.

The next session discussed knowledge about coffee. Aceng Kurnia who works as a Food and Beverage Consultant explains how to choose the best coffee beans for brewing and consumption. This process is the most important part of ensuring the quality of coffee dishes in the business.

The last session was practicing being a barista, in this session participants were divided into five groups and practiced each stage performed by the barista. The beneficiaries seemed enthusiastic about exploring their respective abilities in brewing coffee. And the result, amazing.
