JAKARTA (July 21, 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia held a Technical Coordination Meeting on Proposals for National Hero Candidates (CPN) for 2023. Acting Director General of Social Empowerment Beni Sujanto gave directions as well as opened the meeting with the Candidates for the Central Title Research and Review Team (TP2GP) in the meeting room fourth floor (21/7).


Meetings are being held online and offline to discuss determining the composition of the membership format for the TP2GP Team candidates who will conduct research and study the Title of National Hero Candidates in 2023. The agenda for discussion include the preparation of formators, the TP2GP work agenda, the 2023 CPN proposal, and the Timeline.

The Acting Director General of Social Empowerment Beni Sujanto said that this meeting was a mandate from PP Number 35 of 2010 concerning the implementation of Law number 20 of 2009 concerning Titles, Marks of Service, and Honors, where it was necessary to form a secretariat team and a TP2GP team. Furthermore, the TP2GP membership format proposal will be determined by the Minister of Social Affairs. Apart from that, this meeting also determined the timeline for next year's tasks for the TP2GP Team.

The Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in this case is tasked with verifying and validating the CPN proposal file, which then the TP2GP Team conducts research and studies on the CPN proposal before submitting it to the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Setmilpres Council of Titles, Merit Medals and Honors.

Also present were the Director of Community Empowerment, the Head of the Setmilpres GTK Bureau, Historians, Academics, BRIN, Pusjarah TNI, and the Indonesian National Archives.
