MATARAM (February 20, 2020) – The Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Bureau of Planning, Susi Tanjung paid a visit to the Social Rehabilitation Center for Children in Need Special Protection (BRSAMPK) "Paramita" in Mataram. Her visit was warmly welcomed by the Head of Social Assessment and Advocacy Section, L. Zohri. On this occasion, Susi explained about the procedures and things that must be considered if there were internship students from abroad. Susi was also very proud of the breakthroughs made by Paramita as a location for student internships from Netherlands. It is hoped that Paramita can become a center of excellence and an example for other social rehabilitation centers under the Ministry of Social Affairs in terms of internship abroad program.
Some of Susi's concerns were about children’s data security, students’ safety during internships and students’ supervision outside BRSAMPK "Paramita". This was due to the scope of work of BRSAMPK "Paramita" in which confidentiality is very important. On the other hand, Susi is very optimistic about this collaboration. It is hoped that, later, an MoU will be made between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of the Netherlands, results in wider impact. Moreover, our Social Workers should be proud that foreign students learn from us.
