The Face of Social Solidarity in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation
BANJARBARU (December 20th 2019) - The Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs through the New Platform 5 Cluster Social Rehabilitation Program (Progress 5.0 NP) celebrates National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN), which in 2019 carries the theme "Social Solidarity Breaks Boundaries".
Starting from the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, namely The Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) "Abiyoso" Cimahi, which held Braille Literacy Needs Mapping and Assistance in the Use of the Audio Mobile Library (AML) Application at PSBN "Fajar Harapan" Martapura (18/12 / 19) BLBI "Abiyoso" in Cimahi developed an application and use of AML for Persons with Visual Sensory Disabilities (PDSN) to make it easier for PDSNs to access practical information and knowledge in the AML application, whose application can be downloaded easily on Playstore.
One of the 2019 HKSN series, namely The Cross Border Social Solidarity (LBKS) which was held at Siring Kilometer 0, Banjarmasin also provided space for persons with disabilities to get social assistance. The social assistance is in the form of symbolically giving disability aids such as prosthetic limbs, hearing aids, and leg sticks.
In addition, the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Drug Abuse also took part in the 2019 HKSN activity. It was marked by the inauguration of the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Mandatory Recipient Institution Building (IPWL), Juliari P. Batubara at Intan Banua, Banjarmasin (19/12/19). This IPWL was made as a place for implementing Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Drug Abuse.
Following a visit to The Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Mental Disabilities (BRSPDM) "Budi Luhur", the Minister of Social Affairs had a direct dialogue with the beneficiaries.
On this occasion also the Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Visual Sensory Disabilities (BRSPDSN) "Mahatmiya" in Bali tried to explore the potential of persons with visual sensory disabilities (PDSN) to become baristas. Now Mahatmiya has a coffee cafe called Artne Coffee with a unique coffee made by PDSN. The recipient of the service neatly prepared coffee for the Minister of Social Affairs with his wife and other officials at the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation booth which had been designed to resemble a coffee cafe (19/12/19).
The Directorate of Child Social Rehabilitation introduces Gameboard, a game of psychotherapy related to self-introduction to avoid acts of sexual harassment, acts of violence or kidnapping that are expressed in the form of children's games. This game is designed in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, UNICEF and UMJ.
