LUMAJANG (March 13, 2022) - The evacuation site in Penanggal Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency was given intervention by the Ministry of Social Affairs in such a way that it has a dual function. If in general the evacuation is limited to a location in the form of shelter/temporary shelter for disaster survivors, then in the Penanggal evacuee camp in Lumajang Regency after the eruption of Mount Semeru, it was transformed to have a role as a location for buying and selling activities.

The buying and selling activity, through empowering the survivors who live in it, is expected to provide income for the survivors themselves. Tagana personnel were also assigned to carry out the process of preparing land and booths for the survivors to use.
