The Readers of BLBI "Abiyoso" Provided Groceries Assistance

CIMAHI (6 April 2020) – The readers of BLBI Abiyoso Cimahi in collaboration with the Yayasan Daya Inspirasi Disabilitas Indonesia (Diffcares) provided assistance in the form of groceries to people with disabilities. The wife of the West Java Governor, Atalia Kamil, also participated in the activity.

Atalia expressed his gratitude to the readers of BLBI Abiyoso Cimahi and the Yayasan Daya Inspirasi Disabilitas Indonesia for assisting people with disabilities vulnerable to COVID-19.

"During COVID-19 outbreak, many parties were affected in economic, health and social terms. Likewise the people with disabilities. In response to that condition, the readers of BLBI Abiyoso and the Yayasan Daya Inspirasi Disabilitas Indonesia tried to help them by distributing the groceries. Hopefully, it could be able to help and reduce the burden on the COVID-19 pandemic situation," said Atalia.

There were 175 packages of the groceries. As many as 115 packages were distributed to the People with Blind Sensory Disabilities through Indonesian Blind Union (Pertuni) in Bandung and the rest were for Ikatan Tunanetra Muslim Indonesia (ITMI) in Cimahi. Each package contained 5 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles, 2 Lt of cooking oil, 1 kg of sugar and 1 kg of flour.
