Visiting the Family for the Sake of Children
MUARO JAMBI (February 26th 2020) - In solving the problems of the Social Welfare Service Recipient, the “Alyatama” Children's Center in Jambi cannot only focus on clients. Family is the smallest environment for children that must be explored. Aulia Mirza, DRS Child Assistance Social Worker visited families to explore children's cases, provide counseling and strengthening the families.
Aulia also visited community leaders and local residents in order to prepare the community to accept PPKS returns later. Of course, the act of preparing family and community visits cannot be done only once so that the child can return without the stigma that approaches him.
Hopefully that the presence of Social Workers in the midst of the family and society is able to bridge the return of children to the environment where the child should be. Families and communities are expected to be able to work together after being given education and strengthening to jointly restore children's social functions.
