BANDUNG (29 May 2020) - Social Minister Juliari P. Batubara conducted a working visit to West Java by carrying out several activities in order to ensure that the social safety net actually reaches the community.

One of the agenda is a visit to the Bandung Social Welfare Training and Education Center (BBPPKS).

The Minister of Social Affairs arrived at BBPPKS Bandung accompanied by the Head of the Education Agency for Research and Social Counseling Syahabuddin and the Head of BBPPKS Bandung, Toto Restuanto.

In his direction, the Minister of Social Affairs said that the key to the success of social welfare programs from the Ministry of Social Affairs is in the Human Resources (HR) of social welfare under the Social Research and Counseling Education Agency (BP3S).

"The current condition is an abnormal condition because many of our programs are canceled. In the current state BP3S must be able to see all the weaknesses, make a study because BP3S is the brain of the Ministry of Social Affairs," said the Minister of Social Affairs, Friday (29/5/2020).

The Minister of Social Affairs also advised that all human resources who work at the Ministry of Social Affairs must have a human feeling. "I want to be open to all human resources in the Ministry of Social Affairs, because the Ministry of Social Affairs is the task of humanity, those in it must have a high sense of humanity".

Previously, the Minister of Social Affairs along with the Coordinating Minister for Human and Cultural Development and the Governor of West Java monitored the distribution of social assistance to people affected by the Corona virus pandemic at two points.

The first visit was to directly observe the point of the distribution of Cash Social Assistance (BST) in Mandalamukti Village, Cikalong District.

The distribution of BST through PT Pos has reached almost 4,000 heads of families (KK) spread across 13 villages in Cikalong Wetan District. This BST distribution is stage I, where previously it had been going on for three days.

The government wants to continue to ensure that the acceleration of the implementation of Cash Social Assistance (BST) for Basic Food Assistance and KKS (Prosperous Family Card) can be realized properly.

Moving on to the next place, the group moved to the Cipendeuy Cirata sub-district to directly observe the E-warong activities in the village.
