BANDUNG REGENCY (9 October 2021) - Director General of Poverty Handling, Asep Sasa Purnama attended a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme "The Role of the Integrated Referral Service System (SLRT) in Strengthening KPM Capacity" at the SLRT Sabilulungan building, Bandung Regency, Java Province West (9/10).

 

The manager of the Sabilulungan SLRT, Nia Nindhiawati, said that the poverty rate in Bandung Regency currently reaches around 6.9%. Efforts are being made to deal with the extreme poor in Bandung Regency by reducing expenditure, increasing income, regional development, and village assistance.

 

Meanwhile, the Director General of PFM, in the event said that poverty handling must use the principle of Sabilulungan (gotong royong/community services). To eradicate poverty, various parties must be supported to work together and unite. In addition, the Director General of PFM hopes that in Bandung Regency the Beneficiary Families become "Welfare Families". "There are some efforts managed by KPM to improve the economic standard."

 

For the continuation, the Directorate General of PFM and SLRT Sabilulungan agreed to follow up on poverty alleviation in Bandung Regency, one of which will be the creation of a communication forum for KPM. The goal is that KPM can be connected so that new ideas emerge to develop themselves to increase their economic stability.

 

"We are very confident that in alleviating extreme poverty in Bandung Regency, it will be much more effective if we work together in this regard," said the Director General of PFM.

 

The event was also attended by Acting Director of PFM Region I, Endang Muryani, Head of Bandung Regency Social Service, Nina Setiana, Head of Sub-Directorate of Assistance and Empowerment of Region I PFM Directorate, Agus Elia, Sub-Coordinator of Financial Management of the PFM Secretariat, Risnandar, Regional Coordinator of Bandung Regency, Kartika Dewi, SLRT Facilitators, para TKSK in the Regency, and the Managers of the Center for Social Welfare in the Regency of Bandung.
