Jakarta (July 1, 2022) - Gratification is one thing that every Government employee (ASN), including those within the Ministry of Social Affairs, must avoid in carrying out their duties and when providing services to the community. Quoting the Minister of Social Affairs Regulation No. 5 of 2020 on Gratification Control in the Ministry of Social Affairs, it is stated that Gratification is a gift in a broad sense, which includes the provision of money, goods, rebates/discounts, commissions, interest-free loans, travel tickets, lodging facilities, tourist trips, medical treatment only free of charge, and other facilities, whether received domestically or abroad and which are carried out using or without electronic tools.

Considering that not all ASN know what gratification is and how to control it. Because of this, the Gratification Control Unit (UPG) in one of the work units of MoSA, namely the Center for Education, Training, and Professional Development (Pusdiklatbangprof) disseminated the Gratification Control Program (PPG). The implementation of this dissemination is part of the external work plan by UPG Pusdiklatbangprof to external parties within the Pusdiklatbangprof environment.

This dissemination is given to prospective (Ministry of Education) Kemendikbud lecturers who are currently participating in basic training (Latsar) for Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) within MoSA.

Their selection as participants is based on the reason that knowledge and control of gratification need to be given from an early age, namely those who will become Civil Servants. Besides that, they are also prospective lecturers who are expected to be able to provide examples of how to control gratification both to students and colleagues in their teaching units.

During the event, it was also conveyed that neither trainer nor the organizers received gratification and if anyone found such irregularities, they could report it to the Gratification Control Unit (UPG) of Pusdiklatbangprof. This is a follow-up to the results of the identification that one of the vulnerable points for gratification at the Pusdiklatbangprof is the giving of gifts or souvenirs by Latsar participants to the trainer and the Latsar committee who do not comply with the gratification rules.

This activity was carried out on Friday, July 1, 2022, during the training "Before delivering the material, I will disseminate the Gratification Control Program (PPG) in Pusdiklatbangprof environment," said the trainer.
