WEST LOMBOK (March 2nd 2020) - BRSAMPK "Paramita" in Mataram attended an invitation to a news press conference related to the Crime of  Human Trafficking (TIP) which involved children as victims at the West Lombok Police. In this activity, the West Lombok Police Public Relations Subdivision began by reading the chronology of the case which resulted in 3 people becoming victims of human trafficking practices, and ironically 2 of them were children under 18 years of age.

The Head of the Social Assessment and Advocacy Section, Lalu Zohri, representing the Head of the Center conveyed that it was related to the Social Rehabilitation Program in the center. The service programs provided include: Assistance, Therapy, Social Care, and Family Support. This activity was also attended by several partners of the Paramita Children's Hall, namely the NTB Province Child Protection Agency (LPA) and also the West Lombok Regency Social Service.

Partnership relationships with several stakeholders who are child observers also strengthen synergy in handling children. Joko Jumadi, as the legal division of the NTB Province Child Protection Agency (LPA), also discussed matters related to the psychological condition of the victim after the incident. Hopefully that in the future, no similar incident will happen again and the role of parents and families is expected to monitor the relationships and development of children.

Furthermore, after the condition of the 2 child victims of TIP is declared stable, the Police, assisted by the West Lombok District Social Services Agency, will refer to the "Paramita" Child Center to undergo rehabilitation for 3 to 6 months, depending on the child's developmental conditions. "We will provide services and therapy to restore the psychological condition and trauma of children. There are social workers, psychologists and several other professions at our center who can help restore the social functioning of the victim's child," said Zohri at the end of the press conference session.
