SOUTH TAPANULI (17 February 2020) - The Social Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Drug Abuse (BRSKPN) Insyaf in Medan, North Sumatera conducted an outreaching activity in Pal Sabolas Village, Angkola Timur District, South Tapanuli Regency from 17 to 20 February 2020.

“The activity aimed to provide services outside BRSKPN as well as develop the social functioning for victims of drug abuse in the society," said Ahd. Sulaiman, Head of BRSKPN Insyaf Medan.

Sulaiman also stated that BRSKPN Insyaf Medan is currently providing advanced social rehabilitation services. This is according to the Minister of Social Affairs Regulation No. 16 of 2019 on National Standards of Social Rehabilitation, in which the article 26 says that Advanced Social Rehabilitation is an effort made to develop the individual, family, group and society social functioning, especially the victims of drug abuse.

“Furthermore, social rehabilitation is carried out in the form of psychosocial support and diagnosis, care and treatment, vocational training and entrepreneurship development, accessibility services, social assistance,  resocialization, further and referrals guidance,” explained Sulaiman.

This activity was attended by 30 victims of drug abuse. It was also approbated by the Social Service Agency of Tapanuli Selatan Regency, the community police officer of Angkola Timur and the Head of Pal Sabolas Village. Moreover, the activity ran smoothly and received positive responses from participants and society.
