Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation Develops Guidelines for the Rehabilitation Victims of Drug Abuse

BEKASI (March 5th 2020) - Accompanied by the Director of the Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Drugs Abuse, Nur Soleh, Director General of Social Rehabilitation Edi Suharto gave directions on the activities of the preparation of the Social Rehabilitation Guidelines for Victims of Drug Abuse in the Institution at the Amaroossa Hotel.

Responding to the development of regulations in the handling of drug abuse, Edi conveyed in his direction that the Ministry of Social Affairs, through the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Drugs Abuse needs to have tools for the process of implementing social rehabilitation. So far, services have been carried out by referring to the social ministerial regulation number 9 of 2017 concerning the National Standard for Social Rehabilitation.

In his report, Nur Soleh conveyed that KPN Social Rehabilitation must be carried out in a professional and measurable manner, so clear and more detailed standards are needed, both for rehabilitation in Institutions / Inpatient and Social Rehabilitation outside of Institutions / Outpatients.

PROGRES 5.0 NP must be used as a reference by the Ministry of Social Affairs partner Balai / Loka / IPWL in implementing KPN Social Rehabilitation.

Furthermore, Edi Suharto emphasized that IPWL, which carries out family support or inpatient functions, must provide Social Rehabilitation Services for drug use cases which serve as a reference in the preparation of guidelines for the Indonesian National Standard (SNI).

In this activity, Edi hopes that the formulation of Guidelines for Social Rehabilitation in Institutions / Inpatient Care must be more implemented, so that it is implemented by all institutions that carry out KPN social rehabilitation services.

The activity was carried out for four days starting from March 4-7 2020 which was attended by 32 participants from the RSKPN and IPWL Directorate.
