JAMBI (March 3, 2020) - This morning,
the People Needing Social Welfare Services (PPKS) from
Children Social Rehabilitation Center “Alyatama" were
on a daily routine participating in a Livelihood Therapy by making handicrafts
from paracord. Puji Lestari, a livelihood therapist,
taught them to make tissue boxes.
Puji patiently
instructed the step by step to knit
the rope into a box which would be worth
selling. The steps and process required in making craft were similar to the steps and process required in achieving success. Perseverance and patience were
needed to make a single thread of paracord into a useful item.
The therapy process provided was
not only
result-oriented, but also process oriented. The
PPKS were
thaught to respect the process, because a good process would make a good result.
