BANDUNG (March 3rd 2020) - The Directorate of Poverty Handling Region I held a Guidance for the Strengthening of KUBE Assistant Batch I Year 2020 with the theme "KUBE Facilitator "HADIR" to Realize an Advanced KUBE and a Prosperous Society." This activity was opened by the Director General of Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM), Andi ZA Dulung and attended by the Director of PFM Region I, AM Asnandar, Head of West Java Province Social Service and West Java Provincial Regional Division Head BULOG and was attended by 244 participants from 28 Regencies / Cities and 7 Provinces.

The Director General of PFM in his direction said that this activity was carried out so that KUBE assistants could work optimally in the field. "This activity is carried out to prepare the technical abilities and skills of KUBE assistants so that they can assist KUBE well," said the Director General of PFM.

According to the Director General of PFM, the success of reducing poverty permanently is through empowerment, efforts must be made so that KPM does not depend on social assistance but becomes a graduation and is separated from social assistance, therefore empowerment must be carried out. The empowerment that is carried out is through KUBE.

"The empowerment of KUBE in 2020 is a new KUBE through new methods and implementation in the field, unlike several years before with a mechanism of waiting for recommendations from the Social Services Agency and continuing like routine work," explained the Director General of PFM. The Minister of Social Affairs, according to the Director General of PFM, wants the Social Services Agency to be more selective in selecting KUBE recipient candidates. In addition, in recruiting KUBE facilitators, we also have to be more selective.

Furthermore, if the business of KUBE is already advanced and can develop, the Ministry of Social Affairs will help to develop it through the People's Business Credit (KUR) program and micro-enterprises. "So KUBE assistants must be able to see the potential of the area, raw materials, knowledge, marketing that will be carried out, whether KUBE is the type of production or service," said the Director General of PFM.

At the end of his direction, the Director General of PFM hopes that with this activity KUBE assistants as the spearhead can work in the field well, so that they can help KUBE to develop its business and finally they can graduate and be separated from the social assistance recipients.
