LUMAJANG (December 11, 2021) - To ensure the handling and fulfillment of the basic needs of the displaced victims of the Mount Semeru eruption, the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini accompanied by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, Robben Rico, visited the Evacuee Command Post in Penanggal Village Field, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency, Saturday (11/12).

During her visit to the evacuee camp, the Minister of Social Affairs handed over compensation worth IDR 15 million to 17 heirs of the victims who died due to the eruption of Mount Semeru. In addition, the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs is also to entertain children in evacuee camps, especially children who have lost their family members.
