JAYAPURA (February 14, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini handed over compensation to four heirs of victims who died as a result of the earthquake in Jayapura, Papua on Tuesday morning. On this occasion, Minister of Social Affairs Risma directly checked the buffer stock which took place at the Regional VI Papua Social Welfare Education and Training Center (BBPPKS) in Jayapura.

Apart from that, at the same location, the Minister of Social Affairs also greeted the Elderly with Stroke and Paralysis directly for 1 year and handed over assistance to children with Hydrocephalus who received assistance at BBPPKS Jayapura.

In handling the earthquake disaster in Jayapura, the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Directorate of Social Protection for Victims of Natural Disasters (PSKBA) has sent emergency logistical assistance consisting of 1,000 packages of children's food, 100 sheets of mattresses, 500 sheets of mattresses, 1,000 packages of adult clothing, 500 packages of kids ware, tents 500 units of rolls, 50 units of multipurpose tents, 150 units of portable family tents, and 5 units of portable toilets.

Minister of Social Affairs Risma visited four evacuation points for residents affected by the Jayapura earthquake, namely beside the BTN Numbay Building, Bhayangkari Tanjung Ria Field, the Public Kitchen of the Provincial Social Service, and the Education Office, Tanjung Ria, Jayapura, Papua.

The event was attended by the Special Staff of the Minister for Communication and Mass Media, Expert Staff for the Minister for Social Rehabilitation Benhur Tomi Mano, Head of BBPPKS Papua Jhon Herman, Acting. Mayor of Jayapura Frans Pekey, Jayapura Police Chief Kombes.Pol.Victor Mackbon, Marine Major (P) Nurochim Pasops Satrol Lantamal X Jayapura.
