WONOSOBO (April 28th 2020) - Persons with Intellectual
Disabilities who are members of the "Tali Asih" Sheltered Workshop
(SWP) in Maron Village, Garung District, Wonosobo Regency, which is guided by
the Center for Social Rehabilitation of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities
(BBRSPDI) "Kartini" in Temanggung to carry out social activities in the form of providing basic food
assistance to people affected by COVID-19.
Many people in Maron Village and its surroundings are
affected by COVID-19 experiencing difficulties in fulfilling their daily needs.
The Facilitator and Beneficiary (PM) SWP "Tali Asih" are touched and
set aside some of the profit from business of making batik ciprat to buy
groceries which were then distributed to people in need.
This activity was carried out by 15 persons with
intellectual disabilities who were PM SWP "Tali Asih" and 5
assistants. 50 food packages were distributed to 14 households in Tlogo Village
and 36 families in Maron Village since yesterday until today.
SWP companion "Tali Asih", Joko said, "We invite people with intellectual disabilities to care about the surrounding community affected by the COVID-19 virus and they are very excited to do this activity". Acknowledgments also flowed from the people who received this basic food package assistance.
