DENPASAR (February 27th 2020) - The Directorate of Poverty Handling Region II held a socialization program for the 2020 Poverty Handling at a hotel in Denpasar (27/02). The theme raised in the activity was "Enhancing Human Resources for Quality Growth".

This activity was opened directly by the Director of PFM Region II, Mr. I Wayan Wirawan and attended by the Head of the Provincial Social Services Agency and the Head of the Provincial and Regency / City Social Services Agency in Region II.

In his direction, the Director of PFM Region II said that efforts to overcome poverty in Indonesia have been carried out by the government. These efforts in the program for handling the poor include a basic food program that can meet food needs with better nutritional quality fulfillment for beneficiary families (KPM). In addition, there is a Joint Business Group (KUBE) program that helps with capital for businesses to provide sustainable income so that KPM can meet their basic needs. Finally, to improve the quality of proper housing from the health and safety aspects, there is a Social Rehabilitation Program for Unfit for Living Houses (RS RTLH).

Furthermore, the Director of PFM Region II emphasized that based on these efforts we should not immediately become complacent. According to the Director of PFM Region II there are still many important things that must be done, especially in the distribution of the basic food programs. "Currently the problems vary. Constraints such as data management must be managed properly by people who have knowledge in the field of special data management so that day after day, the purity of our data and the accuracy of our data will be better, ”explained the Director of PFM Region II.

Apart from these data problems, the Director of PFM Region II also reminded the Prosperous Family Card (KKS) that have not been distributed. For the extension of the distribution time for KKS cards in terms of budget preparation for KKS cards that have passed the 31 December 2019 deadline has been terminated. "If there is a KKS that is still not distributed, it can be proposed again through the system," explained the Director of PFM Region II.

The existence of these obstacles, the Director of PFM Region II said that the central government and the regions must work together to overcome these obstacles that often arise. "We need to improve our integrity as civil servants, assistants, and all parties in the field must focus on helping the community," said the Director of PFM Region II.
