The House of Prospective Recipients of the Social Rehabiitation of Rutilahu as the Impact of the Mandolang Tidal Wave Disaster is Reviewed for its Feasibility
MINAHASA (August 7, 2021) - In the context of
handling the impact of the tidal wave disaster in Mandolang District, Minahasa
on January 20, 2021, the Directorate General of Poverty Handling through the
Directorate of Poverty Handling Region III reviewed the feasibility of the
proposed recipients of Social Rehabilitation for Uninhabitable Houses (
RS-RUTILAHU) or RTLH in Tateli Dua and Tateli Weru Villages, Mandolang
District, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province.
Together with the Head of
the Regional Social Service of North Sulawesi Province, Rinny Tamuntuan, Head
of Sub-Directorate of Identification and Capacity Building of the Region III
PFM Directorate, Dewi Suhartini, Head of Section for Poverty Handling in
Coastal Outer Islands and Remote Indigenous Communities of North Sulawesi
Provincial Social Service, Merry Mendomba, Section Head Handling the Rural and
Urban Poor, Jordan Pangkerego, Head of the Minahasa District Social Service
Division Head, Aswin Mokolintad, Tateli Dua Village Head, Basir Mainkolang and
Tateli Weru Village Head, Aser Mosed were involved in the process of carrying
out this review.
During the site inspection,
it was found that there was eligibility for the beneficiaries of RS-RUTILAHU,
where the condition of the house was a dirt floor, limited washing facilities
and latrines and walls made of bamboo or wood were in poor condition.
In addition, there is a
suggestion that prospective beneficiaries be given a way to carry on the wheels
of their lives, the majority of whom work as fishermen who have been destroyed
by the previous disaster, namely the damage to the boat they use to go to sea.
